Prices in Norwegian kroner

Pricing, and honest billing

Billing practices in the survey industry have a bad reputation — auto-billed overages, caps that silently stop your collection, and paywalled exports. Here is what SurveyBaker charges, and what it does instead.

What it costs

Three plans. The price covers a whole workspace rather than a seat, and every amount is the total you pay as a consumer, including applicable taxes.

Free

kr 0 per month

Free includes 1,000 outbound emails a month. Unlimited responses, unlimited team members and roles, approval workflows and export are all included.

Pro

kr 149 per month, or kr 1 349 per year

Pro includes 5,000 outbound emails a month. Paying yearly costs kr 439 less than twelve monthly payments.

Team

kr 449 per month, or kr 4 490 per year

Team includes 25,000 outbound emails a month. Paying yearly costs kr 898 less than twelve monthly payments — the price of two months.

Team is a higher-volume consumer plan, not a company or per-seat plan. The two yearly plans do not discount by the same amount, so we quote each saving in kroner rather than as one percentage that would be wrong for one of them.

Where we sell, and in what currency

Prices are set in Norwegian kroner. There is no euro (EUR) price — euro billing is not available — and we never select a currency for you based on where you appear to be.

Norway is the only market open for purchase under the current terms; other markets are closed by default. SurveyBaker is sold to consumers, and business purchase routes are not offered under these terms.

How you pay

Rivenholt AS is the seller of record and your counterparty. Stripe handles the payment on our behalf and is not the seller.

Checkout takes payment cards. Depending on your device and card, Link, Apple Pay or Google Pay may appear as a faster way to complete that same card payment. Those are the only ways to pay for a subscription today — bank transfer and local wallet schemes are not offered.

Paid plans are charged up front. A monthly plan renews automatically each month at the same monthly price, and a yearly plan renews automatically each year at the same yearly price. Your plan, interval, total price and next renewal date are all stated in the purchase documents you receive when you buy.

When you buy, you receive the full agreement as a file attachment you can keep and reproduce unchanged: the terms, the privacy policy, the data processing agreement and the standard withdrawal form, together with a purchase summary and a checksum. The contract language is Norwegian.

Cancelling, and what you get back

The first 14 days are their own track. You have 14 days from the day the agreement is made to withdraw from it. Send notice within the deadline to post@surveybaker.com, saying unambiguously that you are withdrawing, and you get the full amount back to the same payment method with no fee. The standard withdrawal form may be used but is not required. The whole-month rule below never reduces this refund.

Monthly plans. Cancel whenever you like. The cancellation takes effect when the month you have already paid for runs out. You keep full access until then and are not charged again; the remaining days of that month are not refunded separately.

Yearly plans. A cancellation takes effect on the first monthly date falling on or after the day we receive it. That monthly date is always counted from your original purchase day and is never chained from a shorter month — buy on 31 January and the dates run 28 or 29 February, then 31 March. You keep full access until the effective date. The refund is the amount you paid multiplied by the number of whole subscription months still remaining, divided by 12, rounded down to the nearest øre and never below kr 0. All deadlines are calculated in Europe/Oslo.

You can cancel in the app or by sending a message to post@surveybaker.com. No reason is required, and we put nothing extra in your way.

What we do not do

  • No auto-billed response overages. We do not charge per response. There is no overage rate that quietly bills your card when a survey gets popular.
  • No plan-imposed response caps. We never stop your collection because you crossed a plan threshold — a survey stays open until you close it. (You can optionally set your own per-survey response limit.)
  • No paywall on viewing or exporting your own data. You can always read your results and export them to a spreadsheet, on every plan.
  • No automatic plan upgrades. Nothing flips from free to paid without you choosing it. The free plan is not a trial.
  • No auto-renew traps. Subscriptions do renew automatically, monthly or yearly, and we say so plainly before you buy — but you can cancel at any time, in the app or by email, without giving a reason and without a notice period measured in months.

Why this matters — the industry pattern

Billing surprise is the most common complaint across the survey tool market. Some patterns we observed in our research:

  • Some tools auto-bill a per-response overage when a survey exceeds its included quota — a pattern that has generated public complaints about unexpected charges.
  • Some tools stop accepting responses entirely when a cap is hit — with no warning to the survey owner that data is no longer being collected.
  • Some tools lock result viewing or data export behind a higher paid tier, so you pay to see data you already collected.
  • Some annual contracts auto-renew unless cancelled well in advance, with cancellation windows as short as three months before the renewal date.

A transparent "what you see is what you get" pricing model is a real differentiator in this market — not a given.

What the paid plans add

Moving to a paid plan does not put anything you already have behind a paywall. Building surveys, collecting responses, viewing results and exporting your data stay available on every plan, including Free.

The email we send on your behalf is the one thing we meter, because delivering it genuinely costs us money — invitations, scheduled sends and reminders all count against the same allowance. The free plan includes 1,000 outbound emails per calendar month, per account, and the paid plans raise it. Paid plans also let you remove the small "Made with SurveyBaker" line from the bottom of your surveys. An in-app meter always shows where you stand, and going over is never billed automatically — sending simply pauses until the count resets at the start of the next month.

Frequently asked

How much does SurveyBaker cost?

Free is kr 0. Pro is kr 149 per month, and a year of Pro is kr 1 349. Team is kr 449 per month, and a year of Team is kr 4 490. The price covers a whole workspace rather than a seat, and every amount is the total consumer price including applicable taxes.

Can I pay in euro?

No. Prices are set in Norwegian kroner only, and no euro price is available. We never select a currency for you based on where you appear to be.

How can I pay?

By payment card. Link, Apple Pay or Google Pay may appear at checkout as a faster way to complete the same card payment. Bank transfer and local wallet schemes are not offered, and neither are business purchase routes.

Will I ever be auto-billed for extra responses?

No. SurveyBaker does not auto-bill response overages, and there is no plan-level response cap.

Can I get my money back if I change my mind?

Yes. Within 14 days of the agreement being made you can withdraw from it and get the full amount back to the same payment method, with no fee. That is a separate track from the whole-month refund rule below, and the rounding in that rule never reduces it.

What do I get back if I cancel a yearly plan partway through?

The cancellation takes effect on the first monthly date falling on or after the day we receive it, counted from your original purchase day. You keep full access until then, and the refund is the amount you paid multiplied by the number of whole subscription months still remaining, divided by 12.

Can I always view and export my own data?

Yes. Viewing your results and exporting them to a spreadsheet are never locked behind a paid plan. Your data is yours.

Will my surveys stop collecting responses if I hit a limit?

No. SurveyBaker imposes no plan-level response cap to force an upgrade; a survey stays open as long as you keep it open. You can optionally set your own per-survey response limit if you want one.

Are there any hidden charges?

No surprise charges. Every email we send on your behalf is metered — invitations, scheduled sends and reminders all count against the same allowance — and going over it is never billed automatically; sending pauses instead. We will always show you where you stand before anything changes.

Is there a free trial that flips to paid automatically?

No. The free plan is a permanent free plan, not a trial. Nothing flips to paid automatically.
